Please note: We do not currently have capacity to complete functional capacity assessments (FCAs) for clients with a formal diagnosis of Autism. A FCA will be necessary for the NDIS to understand support needs/associated funding requirements. We can, however, assist our clients in finding a clinician with capacity to complete a FCA with them. Typically, FCAs will be completed by a developmental educator, social worker, occupational therapist, or psychologist.

Should our capacity to complete FCAs change in the future, we will update our service list and notify our email subscribers for how to be added to the waitlist. FCAs are a timely process and therefore, can be costly. We would typically expect to set aside 15 billed hours to facilitate a FCA. Furthermore, the completion of the assessment could take anywhere between 3 weeks and 2 months. This can be dependent on many factors, including client/carer availability, clinician availability, time of year, speed at which client/carer can answer extensive questions, and so forth.

  • For individuals of all neurotypes and ages with aims to understand presenting issues, collaborate, and engage in psychological intervention to promote wellbeing.

Individual therapy sessions are typically spaced 2 weeks apart, and Medicare rebates may apply. Speak with your GP to see if you qualify for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP).

If you obtain a MHTP and referral to Diverse Psychology, 10 sessions per calendar year may attract a rebate. Rebates for registered psychologists are $93.35 at present, so a gap of $136.65 will remain for rebated sessions.

Private health fund rebates may also apply, we recommend contacting your particular health fund for details about rebates/gap fees with a registered psychologist.

Please note: Only one rebate can be used at a time, e.g. A Medicare rebate cannot be used in conjunction with a private health fund rebate for a single session. You may, however, use Medicare rebates for some sessions and private health fund rebates for other sessions.

  • Family therapy sessions are facilitated with aims to explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely and to encourage supportive change and development.

    $510 / 100 mins

Please note: Rebates do not apply for family therapy sessions.
